Brian & Christine

Christine & Brian

Some love stories arrive like a thunderclap.

Ours began more like a slow and steady tide, inevitable, persistent, and full of quiet magic.

We met at 1909, both immersed in our own journeys. Christine was newly separated and Brian still wearing a wedding ring. And so, in her infinite wisdom, life placed us side by side, but not yet hand in hand.

There were glimmers, five dates that hinted at the possibility, a friendship that carried a secret light, but the timing, then, was not ours.

Years later, after seasons of growth and change, the universe, ever patient, called us back to each other.

It happened in

KITCHENS.

A chance meeting by the community coffee pot.

A summer project that began with code and ended in admiration.

A series of self-defense classes where laughter, trust, and sparks mingled in ways neither of us dared name aloud.

But love, the true kind, is stubborn. It finds its way.

At shared beach parties and unexpected professional gatherings.

During a rainy night under a small canopy.

Others saw through the mystery before we did.

Then, an indelible moment in a kitchen, Christine, vibrant in a red dress; Brian, trying to hide the way his heart shifted, when we both began to see the truth: what was growing between us was something rare and worth holding onto.

Dinner invitations turned into deeper conversations. A ceramics date unearthed the flame that became our first kitchen kiss (heart-pounding, kids about to burst through the door at any second).

Brian knew fast. Like, ask-you-to-Europe-in-the-first-month fast.

And somewhere between wine glasses clinking, lost subway rides in Paris, and fireworks exploding over a sparkling German bay, we came to a quiet knowing: even though we were thousands of miles away, this was it. This was home.

A million micro-moments, walking through cities, sharing oysters and wine, dancing barefoot in our backyard, wove together into something whole and extraordinary.

By the time we arrived in Miami for a sunlit weekend together, the story had already been written in our hearts. After a heroic effort to stave off Christine’s hanger, and a ring tucked carefully into his pocket, Brian, ever thoughtful, ever true, asked her to be his Warrior Queen. (Which he had been calling her all along.)

Of course, it was an exuberant “yes!” It wasn’t a surprise; it was simply the moment all the scattered pieces of our story came together. Today, our home is full of music and laughter, impromptu dance parties, the clatter of cooking, and the deep, rich joy of a life built hand in hand. Our family, stitched together by love, shares homemade meals, soccer games, camping trips, sauna dates, and the simple magic of ordinary days made extraordinary.

Ours is not a love born of grand gestures or perfect timing.

It is a love shaped by second chances, patience, friendship, and a knowing that deepens with every sunrise we greet together.

We are so grateful to have found one another, finally, wholly, beautifully, and even more thankful to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.

Cheers to the next adventure,

& all the Gruner Veltliner glasses yet to be raised!

You’re invited to join us for an adventure of a lifetime!
